Lundy Island...........

and two more pages of my Sketchbook Project.

Before moving around the coast with my sketches I thought I would add something about Lundy Island.  We can see it from our house, the majority of the time, although it has a habit of disappearing like Tracey Island sometimes....Mist - fog etc.

I've added a couple of websites for the Island.

The first one is the official website here

and the other one is The Landmark Trust here

We have been over to the Island on the MS Oldenburg which is the passenger/ supply ship for the island - luckily it was a calm day for sailing!

Have a great weekend

  7. Thanks Annie, glad you like the sketches...I'm hoping that people in 2012 will look at this little book and enjoy it as much as I'm enjoying doing it.

  13. Hi,Ann,
Oh, very lovely and heartwarming drawing and paintings. Please keep up.
I always bring a sketch book with me. A school librarian asks me to show kids the sketch books at a school visit.

  14. I have some happy memories of going over to Lundy on the old Campbell's paddle boats. Having to be ferried from the boat to the shore in little motor boats, then walking up that steep hill to the top.... going to the Post Office and buying Lundy spamps and having tea (I was too young for beer!) at the Marisco Tavern. I really do have to put Lundy on my "things to do before I die" list!

Thanks Sadami, Sketchbooks say so much don't they.

Thanks Shammickite, You have wonderful memories of Lundy, and Mariscos Tavern is still there, plus the little shop, no urban sprawl for Lundy....thank goodness.
