A few more lines...

Moving on from yesterday's post, I have added more lines and hopefully you can see what it is now....(laugh)

William the lurcher having a snooze!

The interesting thing is, that had I given yesterday's sketch a Title say:   Sleeping Dog.  It would have told the viewer exactly what to see,  instead of leaving the viewer to work it out.

I think this is where the Title of a painting or sketch directs people to seeing what the artist wants them to see  .....

it's all in a Title.

Very clever idea Ann - It was a face to me but more of a cartoon character ;-)

Yes, a dog!!! :) But I did not get the 'sleeping' part. You are so right, it's all in a title, funny how easy it gets when the title directs you. You are definitely the queen when it comes to characterizing a subject with a few lines, Ann!

Thanks Robert, Gilli and Judy -

...Judy, just shows how important a Title can be doesn't it :)

Of course!! Yesterday I was getting mad trying to figure out what it was, would never have guessed! Actually thought it was a face...a human one :-))

I didn't see the last post but of course there's no mistaking who it is. William is quite famous now you know. I agree with you about the title of a piece...it says it all.

Hi Pat and Annie...I knew some of you would recognise this chap of ours:)

I didn't see the other post first so can't say for sure that I would have guessed "dog" but I think I would have. Getting the face is the most important part. He looks great.

It's all in a title, that is so true. I love these blurry abstract with titles like 'mr Smith is taking his morning stroll'.

What a wonderful idea, to let your imagination discover the art. I love it. :)

Woofs & hugs! <3
