Contour drawings

I have had fun lately doing some contour drawings and thought I would share some of them with you today -
the idea was to try and keep the pen on the paper as much as possible, as you will see it didn't always work, but I still had fun doing them.  I just used clear water over the ink to create the shading....

- our William -

and finally a rose
on which I added a blush of pink

Have a good Weekend everyone

  8. The second dog from the bottom is a very expressive use of line. It has such life.

    1. Thanks Julie-Anne, I have to admit I wasn't sure about that one, as I thought the lines were 'too wiggly' - funny thing is Pat liked that one as well as yourself....guess that's art for you.lol.

  12. Thanks Joan and Nora - I really enjoy drawing with these pens and adding the clear water, it's just a little unpredictable which I think makes for a nice surprise.
