Pebbles

From my previous post you will have seen that I took this picture of the shoreline pebbles at Crow Point

..wandering along I picked a few up...

So many different shapes and colours
all together..

with plenty to choose from

Here's the selection I took home, which I think shows how varied they are, both in colour - shape - and design......plus one odd shell (which I thought looked interesting)

still with some sand in it...

I then set to sketching them...

and just in case you wondered,

the next time we go over to Crow Point,

I'll be taking these treasures back...

after all it's where they belong

  1. You are so good to take them back! :) I still have pebbles we gathered when we visited your country ages ago. They have such odd shapes and colours. Lovely sketches, Ann!

    1. ....only taking them back as we live so near Judy (: It is nice to keep some momentos in life to remind us of places we've been.

  4. Beautifully done Ann.
Is it unlawful to remove those stones?
I wonder how many would bother to return them.

    1. Thanks Lynn, I don't think its unlawful to remove the stones, unless there's a bye-law I'm not aware of, it just seems a shame not to return them when we live so close and go there fairly often.

  11. Bom trabalho Anns!
Qualquer objecto, por mais simples que seja pode dar uma obra de arte. Depende da pessoa que o olha e o sabe transformar.

  17. Hi, Ann,
You're a so caring and lovely lady. The post and drawings make me happy. The content reminds me of "Gift from the Sea" by Anne Morrow Lindbergh -- my favorite book.
    Kind regards, Sadami
