Beach fun

.....the useful thing about my new camera is that I can capture close ups without getting my feet too wet!

looking towards Woolacombe....

I can leave husband, our daughter and the dogs to go into the sea...

pose for mum...

floating heads...

and along the beach towards Putsborough

with the inevitable close-up.....although not to the full setting...

If anyone would like to use part or all this posts photos for painting/sketching etc. then please do so.

Wow, fantastic views, Ann! They would make great paintings! I may use one or two of your pictures, thank you for offering them!

Hi Ann. These views are great. A typical British seaside holiday. All it needed was the bucket and spade but looks like our kids are a bit too old for all that these days sadly. I'm catching up with all I've missed whilst away. Love all the sketches. You really do make it look so easy. xx

Love your pix - I actually ordered the same camera after seeing what you showed the first time you took it out, but it is on backorder. The timing was perfect as the automatic focus on my SLR quit working. I can't wait to get this little beauty and try it out for myself.

I may try to make a sketch/painting of the final close up. Thanks so much for allowing me to use it.

xoxo

....Couldn't believe the weather Molly, think that's the summer we had waited for!

hi Laura -It was much better being 'behind' the camera and not getting wet!

Hi Vicki - Oh, I do hope your camera arrives soon and that you will like it. I have found that 'experimenting' with different settings was a great help to me. Glad you will use a picture for painting.

I like Woolacombe with its wide sandy beach but think your family are hardy for swimming in the sea. Wasn't it cold?

(Great to see you having fun with your new toy) :)

I’m always so impressed with the wide open spaces where you live! Just lovely!

Our daughter said it wasn't too bad in the water. She had come to stay for a couple days but forgot her swimming stuff and had to resort to shorts and tshirt!

It was good fun annie! plus there were hardly any people about, (although it would take a lot to fill up this beach...lol).

Thanks Joan(:

When the tide is out like this it makes it all the better.

It was a treat to see these photos, Ann. Thanks for the permission to use them.
I rather liked the "along the beach towards Putsborough" one.
At first I thought your daughter was brave to face the cold water but then I remembered swimming all the time in the sea when I was younger, and it was so cold at first, the air would seem warm - when it wasn't!

PS...it's very cool to see your pretty daughter. :)

Glad to see you're getting out and about with that camera. Great shots. ;-)

Somehow youngsters cope with the sea and cold...brrrr - not me! lol.

ann @ studiohyde said...

....she's quite a character annie, believe me (:

Thanks John, I'm getting more and more used to this camera. Having said that, I'll probably go to pieces now! lol.

That's quite a strong zoom you got there..one can still be in ' control' LOL . Gorgeous summer photos, all too soon just a memory.
