A topical moment...

as the News is so full of the scandal about mislabelling of meat - I've done a little sketch to fit the moment.

Oh, in case some of you haven't heard, this mainly applies to ready meals ie burgers, lasagne etc etc where the labels say it contains beef, but actually has been tested and found to contain horse!  Okay, a lot of people enjoy eating different meats, and that I accept, but I do think the labels should tell the truth!

  1. Very good, made us all chuckle! Labelling definitely needs improving, who knows what else is lurking in the food chain?!

  3. Every day they find something fake or lied about in our food. Its really sad and makes me not buy anything premade and packaged any more. Also sad about the poor horses. Good job on the sketch.

    1. We feel like that too Cris, we like to know where our food has come from. I think that goes for vegetables too, what do they spray on these days!

  4. Oí el escándalo en la TV, me parece muy mal que no se indique correctamente el etiquetado. ¡Feliz dia! aunque sea un poco tarde por la hora :)

  6. I’m not so sure I could eat horse meat. Not really for ethical reasons, but they’re just so darn cute it seems wrong. Funny, I don’t feel that way about cattle……..

    1. I know what you mean, I guess it's just what you are used to though as some countries don't worry about these things.

  8. Lots of people around the world eat horse meat and are quite used to it. No different from eating dog, or cat, or monkey, or the kangaroo burgers I ate in Australia. But at least I knew it was kangaroo, not mystery meat.
