Just Sketches

Having had a busy week that left me very little time to paint, I did manage to squeeze in a quick session of sketching.  Oh how I dislike the weeks when that happens, but Life catches up doesn't it and we all find ourselves having to portion out our time and schedules in varying degrees of priority.  Given the opportunity, of course, I would portion mine to 24/7 painting and sketching, but heyho!!!

Anyway, here I will share some of the sketches - Before's and After's -

Before's:  in that I have photographed the sketches (done in pen - stupidly couldn't find a pencil at the time..doh!)

and

After's: I have then added a little paint to them

Soft cuddly Donkey (not mine I would say!) but belonging to a relative

Soft cuddly Zebra !
(this Zebra was SO easy - obviously not much to 'colour' in)

and finally,

Teddy cuddling a Basket (!) - no I don't understand that either, but it made for
a great sketch subject

So, even though I had very little time for Painting this
week I was able to sketch.

Today Linking to
with many Thanks to
EVA and Kristin

Hope you all have
a
Great Weekend

They are all lovely, I have a little preference for the colored version. Very nice sketches, Ann. Ciao.

adorable subjects to sketch. I think you can use the bear hugging the basket to put other toys or socks or anything like that in there. Very well done sketches. I was thinking, too, hey, if I get rid of most of my "stuff" I would have less to maintain and more time for art!

i know what you mean about life sometimes getting in the way - that's exactly why I started the 75 day sketch challenge so that even if I wasn't able to paint I could still feel like I was doing something creative each day. now of course they've taken on a life of their own but I'm determined to stick at them! I like these sketches very much - I do love pen and watercolour wash - the little donkey is my favourite - so cute.

Well, it's obvious that you love painting and sketching...no matter the medium...it always turns out so well. We signed papers for our house today - which means it's under contract!
