We are always wary of Adders here. One area that gets a lot of them are the dunes area leading down to the beach. Usually sunning themselves in a sheltered spot on a lovely afternoon, but this one was in long grass at the entrance to a rough track higher up from the beach itself. And it wasn't even sunny! Just goes to show, you have to keep your eyes peeled. Luckily we had William on a lead.
