One full brush of paint

Ahh, the joy of a size 10 Kolinsky Sable..

full of delicious paint and in one sweep I attempted a very unrealistic donkey...

and waited for the paint to dry, then added some dark detailing

 -  quite pleased how this turned out, after all it was in one brush stroke
(with no pencil lines to follow)  -

Of course, there are times when it is a complete disaster

- but I turned this next one around -

and call it    'Against the Storm'

Using tissue paper I wiped away the excess paint, then added the 'action lines'

the rest is up to the imagination!

Those paint sketches are your signature, Ann, and they are great! Love the donkey, and even the disaster one tells an imaginative story! :) I noticed your Award Free Zone drawing on the left: fab!

I've heard about one stroke florals, but never one stroke animals. Amazing!

I would be dancing in the street Anne if I could do this. Your work is wonderful. Thank you so much for your continued support!

Brilliant. The first is absolutely a donkey and Mary's donkey to boot. The second one even if you thought a mistake has its own unique quality. I see a donkey struggling through a snow storm . Hugs Mrs A.

Ahh, but Sandy it's the brush that does the work. These Sable brushes really hold so much paint, it enables the drawing to paint itself....really :) So pleased you like these.

Thanks - glad you like these pictures and that you can see a donkey struggling through a snow storm, it means the painting got you 'seeing a story' :)
