A view in my sketchbook

...from our last trip away. We stopped near Helston in Cornwall and I sketched the view, which included this strange metal structure.  At first I thought it was to do with the local airfield (especially as there were helicopters buzzing around) but discovered it was part of an attraction at a theme park called Flambards!

Today linking to Paint Party Friday

What a wonderful sketch and I like the dark green areas which really bring it to life

Flambards ! I remember visiting there when my children were small. It had a lovely victoriana street with little shops. I also read the Flambards books when I was young. Love your watercolour...happy memories.

We didn't go in personally, but I wouldn't mind one day. Apparently it is really good.

It's a family theme park for all ages :-)

Thanks everyone...I sketched this from the car in an adjoining car park whilst we stopped for a short break.

love that watercolor scene - that does look like an airfield tower or some kind of cell tower!

Gorgeous watercolour sketch Ann! I am head over heels in love with William and he has the same name as my husband and son. It was also the name of my father-in -law. Gotta luv him in his teepee picture, so cute!

p.s. Sent friend request on Facebook and following William blog.
