A great few days break

Something lovely about travel and a few days away.  Across to Carmarthenshire.  One of our visits was to Llandeilo and the National Trust property Dinefwr. (more about that in another post).

We took a gorgeous walk up to a ruined castle.  First walking through Castle Woods Nature Reserve.   I'll say no more, just leave you with photos to enjoy, heading for this ruined castle first

in the next picture you can see a building. That's the National Trust property we visited whilst here. - this calls for another post.

~ we had great weather, met lovely people and
had a great time ~

What a lovely visit you took us on. Is the castle the national trust that is in ruins? or is there another castle? Guess I must stay tuned for the next segment. :)

The house with the towers in the distant view , second to last picture, is the National Trust property. The ruin castle on the hill is separate. Stay tuned ;)

Everything looks wonderful when you have blue sky and sunshine! I've been watching the weather and it seems you have been enjoying real summer recently. I'd love a visit to a castle right now. Instead I am sidelined at home with the worst summer cold EVER! Atishooo!

Yes, we have had wonderful weather recently. Today, it is cloudy as will be tomorrow, then we have rain to look forward to! Hope this isn't a pre warning for Summer weather, once the schools break up it seems to turn. Anyway, it was bound to change especially as the Glastonbury Festival is about to start this weekend, it usually ends up like a mud bath there! lol. Hope you feel better soon with your cold, this time of year they always seem worst.
