Beach huts at Budleigh Salterton, Devon.

Our recent trip away took us to
East Devon on the coast,
where inevitably I did some sketching.

Watercolour in Stillman & Birn Beta sketchbook.

  1. That is a happy picture. I'd paint the thin, blue house with TARDIS doors. :-D

    1. Yep, they are tardis like, when opened up they seem to have packed loads of things in them.

  2. Nice painting! I spent a weekend with my mum at Budleigh Salterton when I was very little, staying with my uncle's sister. I remember the beach was very stony. But I don't remember any beach huts, but they probably were there.

    1. That's good memories to have. The beach was very difficult to walk on, although the pebbles were very rounded.
