Beach huts at Budleigh Salterton, Devon.

Our recent trip away took us to
East Devon on the coast,
where inevitably I did some sketching.

Watercolour in Stillman & Birn Beta sketchbook.

That is a happy picture. I'd paint the thin, blue house with TARDIS doors. :-D

Nice painting! I spent a weekend with my mum at Budleigh Salterton when I was very little, staying with my uncle's sister. I remember the beach was very stony. But I don't remember any beach huts, but they probably were there.

Yep, they are tardis like, when opened up they seem to have packed loads of things in them.

That's good memories to have. The beach was very difficult to walk on, although the pebbles were very rounded.
