Hills, Tree and Moorlands

During our visit to Wales recently, we got to drive across some lovely scenary.  I think these photos show how much we enjoyed our stay in this area west of the Brecon Hills.

see the track on the left of the above picture ↑

We came face to face with two Very Large timber lorries
heading towards us.
Needless to say we reversed out of
their way.... phew they were BIG

We stuck with it though, and found a lovely place for a walk.  Well worth
moving back for lorries, but they hadn't driven along this lovely tranquil track.

Then our drive took us over the moor

here's a close-up of the above picture

Early on we had seen the timber lorries, and further along on our journey
we saw a few places where trees have been cleared.
Obviously well managed.

and we came across a reservoir

all in all this was one heck of
a lovely drive out

I found myself holding my breath when the timber lorries or semi's as we call them here passed by--But aside from that moment, your photos and videos are beautiful and peaceful!

Wow.. I showed con the logging trucks video. We see a lot of those here too. He said...I see they are scarfing up all the timber over there too. LOL. Bet it was scary sitting there hoping the second truck sees you thru the dust and misses you. Lovely views to see around there once you got your heart back up where it belonged. :)) I love your trips. Glad you take us along.

Beautiful countryside photos, and it looks like you had ideal weather for your trip in Wales. Very hot here for the past couple of days.... 29C and humid.

What a glorious place. I've never been but am going to be trying to persuade M that it would be better than France next year.....we just can't afford the passports for all three of us!

Worth a visit Em. We have also stayed in the Brecon Beacons, which are equally as picturesque. We've National Trust memberships, so head for those places too, all well worth going to. Swansea and Cardiff are good too if retail therapy is on the cards :-)
