New Year walk

It's always nice to get out and about, and to start the year off we headed for one of our favourite places......

We wandered around, past the house and on down to the wilderness....

We spied the ponies in their Winter paddock...

I called out to them, and they looked up, I'm sure they recognised my voice...

A certain someone thought the log shaped like a seat was meant for him!!!

That was a
lovely
walk
to
start
the
year
off...

Wish I had got over there to photograph the inside of the house when they had all the decorations up...oh well, hopefully I will get my act together and do it next year (I mean, the end of this year!!!).

Hi Ann, Have just got back into painting etc and was looking for a quick way to sketch my lurcher Scooby. I found your" William the lurcher" sketches and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw William on your dads knee. He's the spitting image of my lurcher Scooby. Love all your sketches with him and watercolour demo. Thanks.

Thanks Sylvie and welcome. How great that you too have a lurcher. I hope I have inspired you to draw Scooby. Do you have a blog or website, I would love to see pictures of Scooby and your painting

Lovely photos of a lovely place to visit. I like the decorated mossy branches, and the little English robin. North American robins are so much bigger, in fact I think they are a type of thrush. They don't stick around for the cold winter weather, they go south, very sensible birds.

What a lovely walk, and a perfect seat for William :)

Yes, they decorated the place quite well, although we saw it after the festivities. A follower on fb added a link to the American robin, I thought it looked thrush like too.

....and, of course, he thought it was just there for him, lol :-)
