Homemade sketchbook

As much as I love buying ready made sketchbooks, I also love making my own.  They never look 'perfect' or totally professional, that's probably because my measuring/math skills are lacking, but in the end, and for me, I have a wire bound sketchbook to use.....that's perfect enough for me.

This next painting done along a mountain road...lovely views, so my sketchbook was quickly brought out of my bag.....

Do you have a binding machine?

Yes, I've got a Zutter...the only part I have trouble working out is how to make the front and back covers, then flip the front over After binding!....think that's where my lack of math skills occurs, lol

That's the joy of making your own journals. They have that imperfect look that gives them character! ♥♥♥

Yes, they will be .... I want to keep them as loose as these, I love painting in an impressionistic way :-)

....exactly, and if I don't feel like making my own, I know where I can buy some made much better than the one shown here ;)

this is softly beautiful. I've never tried making my own. Kind of interesting to think about.

It is worth making your own sketchbook as you can choose what papers you like using the best, plus how many pages too.
