After the mountain drive...

...we arrive in  Aberystwyth

and a certain lad was very pleased to see a beach again....

it doesn't take him long to start enjoying it either...

see the cliff railway....I took a ride, but the lads walked...

....and they were puffed out when they met me at the top.
Not surprising it was one heck of a hill...

glad we went up there...the views were great...

~ a great visit ~

and just to bore you completely I've added the oh so inevitable
video of the cliff railway ride....

Some lovely areas you visit. This is no exception. Wow. I think William is a surfer dude at heart he really belongs at the beach. :)

Beautiful place! (funny to see the empty train car go by! Not even a conductor! lol)

Lovely ride on the railway, certainly does look steep but worth it for that view. Glad William got to run on the beach :)

yes, all worked by a chap at the top, who from his 'perch' can see all the way down the track ;)

Very steep, there was no way I was going to walk up that! ;)

Does that cliff railway work the same as the Lynton & Lynmouth one, with tanks of water, the heavy full one pulling the light empty one up?

No, I think it works with a motor and steel cables ~ funny you should ask, I was listening for the whoosh of water, but there wasn't any signs of it being like Lynton/Lynmouth :-)

I enjoyed this post - looks like such a beautiful place to hang out - ... I love it when we go to the central coast here in California. Your post reminds me that I'm due again for a visit.
