Elan Valley to Aberystwyth

We took a lovely drive during our few days away, going through the Elan Valley

passing reservoirs
~ and ending up in the seaside town of Aberystwyth ~

we had a mixture of weather throughout this drive,
but it didn't matter, in fact it worked in our favour
as it meant there weren't as many people about....
(as if we had to make our way through the crowds!...I think there were more
sheep than people)
These reservoirs were made into several lakes using
the rivers Elan and Claerwen in the Elan Valley....
they provide drinking water for the Birmingham area...

another reservoir

remains of a former mine...

I've put together some video clips of our journey...

and we arrived in Aberystwyth....which will be the next blog post!
