The place is called Killerton...

Yes you guessed it, another National Trust property...

the ground floor rooms were interesting...

Although upstairs was taken over by displays of fashion over the ages...not so my thing, but thought I would add the pix...

I did like the cabinet with an art box in it though

The grounds were another matter...vast.....plus they had an art theme going every so often...

And this was a great idea...people could do their own drawing....I didnt though as I had my own sketchbook

A real life Downton Abbey. Though I loved the dining room table service, not sure I could eat my meal with all the ancestors looking down on me. :-D I've never seen art materials put out so people can make their own unique souvenier. Wish more places did that.

I love that they encourage people to do their own plein air paintings....and the frame on the easel made me smile.

Nice these places are preserved for all to enjoy visiting isn't it...I agree, more places should encourage people to do an artwork souvenier :-)

There were a few of those frame on easels, they were their own artwork with the view, lol :-)

What a lovely place to visit and if you are so inspired, you're given the chance to express it -- What a brilliant idea and example for other places like this to follow!

It's lovely that these National Trust places encourage an interaction with visitors these days, makes the visits so worth while.
