This is a lovely rose, very gorgeous colours! I have the opportunity to join a group of artists who paint together once a week, and have an annual show in May. They also have workshops from various artists during the year. I'm thinking it might be a good move, what do you think?

I think this sounds an excellent move. Not only are art groups social places with like minded people, they are great for learning move about painting techniques - especially as you say there are workshops during the year......win win, I would say definitely join them.

Well, the other participants in the group are much more experienced than me, and so it's a bit daunting to join them. But I think I need to paint with others so I don't get lazy!

Don't let that worry you...everyone has been a bigger at some point. This is where their experience will help a lot, people love to share the 'how to's' in painting and watching others also helps so much.
