Exmoor ... a breath of fresh air.

Wild and windy at times,
other times
Sunny, Mild and Breathtaking...

(well, to be honest it is breathtaking when wet, windy and wild
you just can't hardly breath on those occasions)!!!

Looks like The shire where Hobbits live. The rolling hills look like a patchwork quilt. Are those purple flowers in the last photo heather?

A part of the UK I've never visited. Just beautiful.

Yes, that is heather....the moor is covered with it :-)

Has a lot going for it Eileen, small in terms of National Park though.

Wonderful landscapes, Ann!

Without a doubt my kind of landscape. Lorna Doone and all that! Richard Doddridge Blackmore's father was rector in CM many years ago and officiated at my great grandparents marriage! Exmoor is definitely one of my most favourite places in the world. The house where I grew up in CM is within the National Park boundary. Now I'm homesick!

Dear Ann these photos are truly beautiful. This looks like a gorgeous place to visit. Your Estuary watercolor is certainly blissful. Loved visiting Dunster Castle with you too. This looks so charming. Hope you are having a great day.
