oh I really like those colours. So simple. looks like it would be easy to do, but I know it's not. If I tried that, it would look like a horrible mess!

Thanks Shammickite....it was simple, honestly. The key is to have your colours 'prepared and ready to go'. I did drop extra tone in slightly whilst wet BUT the second key thing is to WAIT for the first layer to DRY, then add the darker tones....easy as that ;)

I like the way you have left a smidge of white paper between many of the colours.

Thanks, that's the spark of light, plus it stops the painting looking too solid :-)
