Around Baggy Point and back...

...We chose a really sunny day at the beginning of the week to do this walk...possibly the last really hot sunny day this year, but we live in hope...our walk was from the other side than where this photo was taken

Our walk out to Baggy Point, which is the furthest hill in the next photo

So I'll add the photos and you are welcome to take the walk with us...

and along the way the remains of a whale bone that had been washed up on the local beach back in 1915

We took the high track...

passing a farmhouse...

and some unusual little wooden boxes...

nothing in them, but little bits of information for kids to find.  There were several of them on our walk

What a great idea to engage kids in the walk with something for them to look out for - well, I enjoyed finding them!

and finally to the point itself...

After a rest (it was a bit of a climb), we headed back on the lower track...

Lower track!!!  -  who am I kiddin'

Thoroughly enjoyed this, we've done the same walk many times. The scenery is fabulous up there and what perfect weather!

What a glorious day! The views were breath-taking. Loved the idea of the little boxes. Looks like you weren't enveloped in the thick fog we saw on the news. News dudes made it sound like the fog swallowed the entire British isles.

Dear Ann-I so enjoyed my walk with you. Just beautiful where you live. Loved your donkey sketches from your previous post and your pen and wash was super. Hope you have many more days for a walk. Hugs!

It was perfect weather, just as well we made the most of it!

We heard that too and some other places were lucky like us. But we saw on the news that some major airports were closed because of the fog.

It was certainly full of surprises. So glad we made the most of the lovely day, plus when we got home we actually had a bbq, who would have thought that in November.

It is a blessing Christine :-)

Ann, you could not have had a more perfect day for a walk, or a more beautiful place as well. I would love this -- Your corner of the world, is still on my bucket list to visit, you really have such a wonderful place to call home!

Such stunning views and those little boxes are wonderful. We were so lucky to have beautiful blue sky in November, it was the same here, when and as you rightly say the rest of the UK had thick fog.
