Bonfire Night goes with a bang!

....and it was another great display

Preparations started a few weeks back when palettes of wood were delivered

and we wondered what they would build this year.

Turned out to be a train

With heavy rain during the day we weren't sure it would go ahead,
but the rain eased off for it

and the bonfire was still smouldering
the next morning

~ Another Bonfire night success ~

Love your fireworks photos. Would make great backgrounds for journal pages or paintings.

Building a train to burn is very imaginative. I'm afraid I don't enjoy Bonfire Night. I don't mind seeing firework displays on the television though. Your photos are good too :-)

I know, the explosions are very loud, or at least they were this year. William normally doesn't mind displays like this, but for some reason this year he has changed his mind about it all, and stayed out of the way bless him!

Thanks CJ, using them for journal pages is a good idea.

Great pictures of the fireworks! I can never get good ones like that! :-/

Thanks Robin, neither could I before. I would try different Settings on my camera and it still wouldn't work. Now I've got an iphone and you don't have to Set anything, just point and click and it captures the fireworks fine - go figure aye :-)
