Street Art

Husb. has just come back from

~

Here's some Street Art he found out there

This next painting is good.
The yellow tube is an Actual structure behind that wall,
the addition of yellow paint on the wall makes
it look like the whole thing is together...
This had been part of an old railway, so very fitting with the train

...and then miles from anything,
a random goat ~
brilliant.

Lovely how art can enhance an industrial area and create interest in random places.

I would love to have that goat on guard in front of my house.
I'm always amazed at huge street art.... if you are so close to the wall when painting it, how can you get the perspectives and proportions right? I can't even do that properly when it's on a canvas right in front of me!

Love the goat! Was thinking he would make a nice addition to my Zensical garden

Yes, it makes such a difference to uninteresting buildings doesn't it :-)

It is incredible how these get painted. I think they work it out as a grid on paper and then put the grid on the wall and do it that way :-)

Sorry, but I get the goat first, lol. I think it would look great in my garden too :-)

Interesting art but the REAL question is.....why is Hubby vacationing without you? :-/

ann @ studiohyde said...

Yes, it is :-)

I know, this has been a question I've asked myself! lol.

Well, I often do paintings that way so it makes sense.

They are fabulous. The yellow chute on the wall is very clever.

It's so nice when communities make art like this :-)
