Brighton

We took the Park & Ride into Brighton from the outskirts of the town, made life a lot easier.  Then started looking around on the seafront.  Forgot that BA are sponsoring the building of a 450ft. tower  ....there were men dangling on rope wires way way up...shish!!!  made me feel dizzy just looking at them...

Even though it is high - Very High! - I would still go up in the cable car, just to say I'd seen the view ;)

The boarding around the site had been painted, which looked good..

I really liked this one!

The former West Pier still stands forlorn though....(click here for wiki info on its history)

and after all that walking, we decided to stop for a drink...

Check out William's blog from yesterday if you haven't already (click link here)....

That tower is high, I don't like heights so it would make me feel dizzy watching men dangling up there too. I've heard Brighton is a very cool place to be, William fits right in there :-)

It looks even higher when standing beneath it...looking up actually made my neck ache! lol

Hope you do get to see it Marie. Obviously we have only seen it in construction, but will be well worth going back to when it is up and running.

I don't do heights usually, but this one is going to be too tempting, lol. We spoke to a few people there and they were all friendly. When we had the drinks along the seafront we thought they would be very expensive, but they weren't...and the service was good too.
