Braunton Marsh walk

We Walked over by the Quay today....not a big quay, in fact until today I didn't even know it was called that.  The walk was good, took pics of the boats, some moored, others houseboats...

This was all fine, and we wandered along the bank.  All okay that is until a farmer on the opposite side released a herd of cows from his trailer...

This is where said cows went off to meet up with another herd already there...(can you spy them in the distance?)

You try explaining this to a lurcher...who became beside himself scared!

Needless to say it was the end of said walk, we turned back.  Next time we visit should be interesting, I wonder if he will remember the cows!

  1. The boats look like toys in the water. Happy though.

  4. It is a busy place with all the boats. I understand William's nervousness, I did a similar walk along a canal in mid Wales one time and a herd of cows were on the bank giving us the eye. I felt sure they were ready to wade across the water at us!

    1. I think they know if somebody is scared, they are more curious than anything - difficult to explain that to William though, he just wouldn't listen.
