Random sketches from our recent trip...

Quick reminders of the scene -
these could end up as full sized paintings some time

sketched this last one on Khadi paper -
it absorbs the watercolour like a sponge,
but gives a misty effect

They're lovely Ann. I especially like the one of the boat!

I love the looseness of these.... I tend to try and put a lot of details in where they aren't needed. I really love them. TFS

It is always a tricky thing to know what to add and what Not to add. I have a rule of thumb : The FIRST thing you see that interests you in a scene, is the Main Focus for your drawing. Hope that helps. (In fact you have given me my blog post for the Useful Tips blog today, thanks for that Emie) :)

I love these, especially the one with the boat. The colours of the scenery, then the splash of red in the boat are so perfect. You used the perfect red!

Thanks Marie, you can't beat a spot of red in a picture :)

Beautiful, Ann, I love the khadi paper effect!

Thank you Judy, I like khadi paper but it needs A LOT of paint as it absorbs so well...still, that makes it more a challenge, lol :)
