A few days away

In Wales this time.  We stayed near Carmarthen and enjoyed the views, walks, towns, shops and beaches - that has to have been a good visit don't you think.

And this view was right on our doorstep

Bliss for us and bliss for a lurcher who loves the beach - in this case an estuary, but how beach like it is.

Well, it must be classed as a beach here, there were jellyfish - what a whopper

Days out included Fishguard and Newport Sands

the walk was enjoyed by all, as you will see from the short video below:

As for painting whilst away, I did continue with my concertina sketchbook:

~ I'll add another post soon about our trip to Wales ~

Glorious! You can almost smell the salt sea air. Love Wales!

A great armchair travel, what a wonderful beach! Why aren't there more people, I wonder?

Gorgeous scenery and paintings as always. And I've never seen a jellyfish that big!

I know I'm biased but Wales is lovely and I see William approves :)

Thanks Marie, I think we enjoy visiting because the scenery is similar to our home, so we feel like it's home from home ;)

You're right, there was a lack of people in these two locations. The first is where we were staying and was down a long track away from the towns. Only locals and late holidaymakers like us were there. Very nice.

We were surprised too actually. The ones we find seem to be getting bigger!

LOL...you've got to say that Eileen or you would be in trouble! But seriously, we do enjoy visiting. Although some of the place names drive us a little bonkers they all seem to have been typed by a dyslexic typist on speed! Lots of LL's and y's and other double lettering all mixed in. :)

Your getaways are always so lovely, and I can tell really get your creativity flowing - And William energized too, what a fun video! I just read a couple of days ago, that here in the US, a Lurcher mix won a frisbee contest. I think your boy could beat them all with a tennis ball :-)

Okay, a two point comment, 1. WOW! That's one huge jellyfish! 2. I LOVE William's 'stance' as he waits for the ball to be thrown! ;)

Yes, that's the best time to get away :)

Oh wow!! glad a Lurcher was mentioned over the pond. William doesn't miss many catches with the tennis ball, but when he does (and should we laugh at him because of it ...as if we would) he KNOWS we are taking the mickey out of him. lol

Yeah, I felt like that when I saw that jellyfish. Can you imagine swimming along and finding them, yikes! That stance of William's seems to be his default look at the moment, lol ;)
