Look at the find on the beach today....

This little chap was left on the beach when the tide went out.    I didn't personally get to meet it,
Graham was down on the beach with William and Hamish (Hamish told it off, what a brave little dog, mind you he didn't get anywhere near it, so perhaps Not so brave after all).

I thought you would like to see the photos Graham took.

Apparently, the best thing to do when you find a stranded seal,
is to leave them alone.
They rest until the tide comes back in
and then they swim out to sea again.

When they are in the water, they like to play together with dogs when you throw a ball

A selkie, perhaps? Hamish sounded like he wanted to make friends.

Seal seems very unimpressed by Hamish!

Poor thing, all he wants to do is take a nap and Hamish won't leave him alone! (BTW, where was William during all this?)

Yes, it did go back okay. The tide came in and eventually it decided to make for the depths :)
