En plein air


This Watercolour is:

overall size: 10½ x 8½ inches (26.67 x 21.59cm)

 Painting size: 9½ x 7½ inches (24.13 x 19.05cm)

Setting up my easel next to the River Taw near Barnstaple

on a slightly blustery day.  (I seem to get these blustery days when I'm painting in this location - it

adds to the challenge!)











This next close-up shows that I had added masking tape around the edge of the painting.

I worked loosely and painterly for this and enjoyed every minute.
