Sword Liner
I will be the first to admit that when I originally got this Sword Liner brush I was disappointed with it
it felt as though I had completely lost control - instead of firm control on the brush it was 'floppy' compared to my other brushes
then recently I picked it up again. I was painting some trees, loose style and found this brush amazing....it worked beautifully and stopped me being too precise with a subject that needed to be spontaneous.
Here are some quick sketches to show you....
and really good for grasses...
So pleased I didn't give up on this brush.

A riveting good subject...
yes, I've sketched a vacuum cleaner! Well, to my mind, it's a good design and a straight forward object to sketch and paint, so heck I thought I would share it with you here:
A quick pencil sketch and then a nice amount of delicious paint - and I had the sketchbook at a slight angle to allow the paint to run down a little. The nice thing about doing a Loose sketch is that you can drop extra paint into it whilst still nice and wet and almost let the painting Paint Itself.
when the above paint had completely dried
I put in some detail...
and when that detail paint had dried
I went over with ink...
~ I better get on with some housework now! ~
