STUDIO HYDE Art - painting has always made me happy. Enjoying being Volunteer artist in residence at Arlington Court National Trust Devon
My hubby was fascinated but I am with you. That's one ugly fish!
Can you imagine swimming along and coming across it! Thankfully I don't swim, it was enough finding it on the shoreline. lol.
Wonder if that's an Angler fish?
It could well have been CT. Definitely had the mouth for it! lol
scary one indeed!
Yep...just glad it didn't move!!
Like something out of Doctor Who!
Out of something that's for sure! lol
Thanks heavens it wasn't alive :-))
My feelings completely :-)
Those look like mighty sharp teeth!
Very sharp looking, didn't chance touching it!
it's almost prehistoric looking!! i agree...would hate to discover that as I'm swimming!
Makes me glad to be a non swimmer lol :-)
I think it's a Monk Fish (check Google Images). There is one hanging on one of the fish counters at Pike Place Market, Seattle. It has a string so the fish mongers can make it move to scare the tourists! The one there is about 2 feet long! One very ugly fish.--Kate
I think you could be right Kate...just taken a look at some google pics and it did look like a Monk fish. Makes me respect fishermen all the more now, if they have to deal with catching things like this, oh boy!!!!
....well, it has a good set of teeth :-)
...completely, lol :-)
That does look a very frightening fish! My fisherman husband is out this evening I will have to show it to him. I have never heard of a monk fish. Sarah x
I've heard of them but I think that was at a fish and chip shop :-)
Wow! Those teeth are really something! Open wide. Lol
Yes, totally awful isn't it ;)
