Dunster Castle

A day out, not far from us, to Dunster Castle (click link) turned out well worth the visit, for one thing we caught the weather just right, which makes such a difference...

Even the ceilings in these places are often ornate...

(captured myself in the mirror...not intentionally)....

I liked the wallpaper design of the above room...
but got a strange look from other visitors for photographing the wall
~ it's okay, I'm used to it ~

and the gardens and grounds were lovely...

with some quirky bridges...

 Definitely a grand day out.

Got to learn another part of the world :)
The second to last picture - is that a
    road crossing a creek?

    Have a beautiful day!

  6. Three things popped into my head viewing these pictures: Thanks for letting us tag along. The modern people look so out of place! And lastly....who did the dusting? :-/

    1. Haha...practical as ever Robin, but you're right, there is a lot of dusting. Sometimes it's the Room Guides for the particular rooms, or sometimes those staff employed by the Trust who make sure each room looks its best. :-)

    1. Your friend is very fortunate to be a guide there, it really is a lovely place. One of the best National Trust properties we have visited (but don't tell them that at Arlington Court) lol ;)

    1. We were really surprised at how nice it was there --- over the years we've driven past many times and it never occurred to us it would be this good.
