Art and more....
painting has always made me happy, so why should I stop.....
it is just beautiful!
Thanks Christine....I stepped out of my comfort zone here with this blog post into the realms of advertising...:-)
It's a lovely painting. Why not advertise, we don't mind :-)
Thanks Eileen :-)
Love this one!!!! Nice misty look and good sense of distance.Ann, you asked about Kosher salt. I think the grains are a little smaller than sea salt before the sea salt is ground. Different salts give different effects. I used to paint silk scarves and used it a lot then. I recently took a workshop with a woman who recommended using Morton's kosher salt. She said there is something about the flat planes of the grains in that brand that give a nice effect. From my attempts she seems to be right.
Thanks Joan, it's good to know about the different salts...I love these little tips we all pick up along the way :-)
Ah Ann-Such a beautiful painting. Landscapes are a favorite of mine and yours is lovely.
Thanks so much Debbie...this is a scene we kept passing recently, makes me wish I had a house overlooking that view, lol :-)
You are so talented that's a lovely picture and scene. Sarah x
Thanks Sarah, I really enjoyed painting it.
