Sketching others working...

It's quite nice to see how work is progressing on a huge rebuild

down in Devon at

Woolacombe on the former Narracott hotel.

Soon to become apartments, restaurant, spa, swimming pool,

you name it, they will have it.

Meanwhile, workmen are all over the build in various stages of refurb.,

which is why I stopped to do a quick sketch

  4. I did a search on the Narracott at Woolacombe, used to be quite a grand place, and I found a very sad video showing how badly it has been deteriorating. Nice to know that it's being renovated but what a shame that it was abandoned like that. Life changes I suppose, people go abroad for holidays, so nice hotels in N Devon weren't needed any more.

    1. It did become very dilapidated, (funny how that happens when owners want specific planning). Anyway, it is getting there, although still a long way to go. If you put into Youtube "Byron Flyover Comm Final 1st October 2016" it should come up with an animated view of what it will eventually look like.

    2. I had a look and it all looks very swish and probably very expensive! Love the remark "fresh from Richard Branson's private island".... Good to know the renovation is happening, lets hope they don't run out of money before it's complete!
