Luckily he had the presence of mind to grab his camera and do a quick video - plus a little voice over chatting to William!
These cows must have decided to leave their field high up on Potters Hill and go down to the beach for the day!
After husband and William returned home we could see in the distance that the Police were on hand (2 cars) plus the farmer to herd the cows back up the hill to their field.....wonder if they enjoyed their outing!

I've never seen the cows coming along like that before either. They do look a little worried though. I am glad to hear the y got back safely.
Hahaha, so funny! But on the other hand, why not? Everyone needs a day at the beach sometimes! :)
Hi Bella and Judy - I reckon this herd will be talking about this for days!
A real promenade for the cows - but I swear I could hear William thinking "let me at 'em, Dad!" :) x
Hi Pat, William would be thinking that IN the car...the only trouble is our wonderful hound is SCARED of cows can you believe!
Guess everyone needs a day at the beach from time to time.
Well, sometimes even a cow can need some freedom, so funny!
Exactly CJ:)
....and they enjoyed the freedom I'm sure Jane:)
everybody needs a change of scene I suppose , even cows!
I love the way everyone is in agreement on this Laurie...lol:)
I don,t see the video on my I-pad, but it sounds like everyone enjoyed the cow's adventure today!
Hi Pat, apparently I-pad's don't pick up the video for some reason, sorry you have missed seeing this, but just in case you wonder it showed a row of about 17 cows all trotting along one behind the other....and yes I think they had a good day out...lol :)
that funny, cows will walk to the beach ...
Hahahahahaha! I can just hear them grumbling, "We can't have any fun!"
In many parts of India it would be news if cows did not share our roads. Many of them are not tended at all. They just find their way back home at dusk.
I know Leovi, I wonder if they will make it an annual outing!
LOL !
Hi Balaji, that sounds so nice....I don't think these cows would find their way home.
too funny...sending this post to my step-daughter, she's in her last year of large animal vet school and specializes in cows!!!! thanks for sharing.
cheers, dana
Hi Dana, hope your step-daughter enjoys this as well - and good luck to her studies.
They do seem to have a wee bit of "Oh. We're in trouble now" look. What a cool sight to see.
Yes it was Jo, and I did spy them the other day looking over towards the sea from the hill field they live in - were they plotting to escape again I wonder...I'll let you know..lol.
