Sunset over Woolacombe

I am still doing paintings for the upcoming Gallery when it opens next month.  This time I have headed for the sea and a sunset.  I wanted to give this painting a pastel feel....

This measures 20" x 15"

this has now set me off on a whole new set of paintings, well ideas anyway, all I have to do now is get on with them!

Have a great weekend

Lovely. I feel as if I have just stepped out onto the beach and can feel my troubles lifting.

I think I know what you mean about being on a roll. I look forward to seeing what it produces.

I was just browsing and found your blog and was interested to read that your family lived in Findon,as I live only a few miles from there.
I also love Devon,so will be popping back to see more of your lovely photos/paintings!

Hello Bellaboo, glad you stopped by. Equally, I have a soft spot for Sussex, childhood memories etc. Glad you have a blog, which I'll be following....cheers, ann.

Wonderful sky, fabulous sea, and I just love that subtle reflection of light on the water. Superb. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the Gallery nearer the time.

Thank you John, it's nice to have feedback and the fact you point out a particular part of a painting helps enormously. I intend to do a post about the Gallery and, providing I get agreement from the other Exhibitors, I'll take some photos.

Hi, Ann,
I really love this painting. If you apply these techniques to figures, I'm certain, you'll handle it! If you have any Q, please leave comments at my blog. I'll think of it and later, I'll answer them within my style (*note: find your own style and techniques.)
Oh, yes, your blog is full of warm humour. Please keep it that brings us smiile.
Best wishes, Sadami
