Sketching whilst watching tv

Here are some sketches I've done whilst watching TV, or rather, only half watching.  If I have a magazine to hand at the same time that helps as it becomes my source, other times it may be something on a programme I'm watching, but what ever, it's a very relaxing occupation with no pressure to produce something exact, just scribble it down and enjoy....

I did all these sketches using my Staedtler mechanical pencil.

Especially useful for travelling light, of course, and although I have loads of graphite pencils, I get on really well using this Staedtler, it gives a crisp line all the time.

I love the sketches! It is so difficult to sketch animals, I love the bunny and the cow! Recently I bought a similar pencil like yours and I like to use it too!

Thanks Judy. I'm really liking this pencil, my old mechanical one broke so I had to replace it and so glad I did.

OK, I do not see much trivia here;-) The first bunny especially translates very well with but few lines/shades. Maybe it is the mechanical pencil - crisp lines and fun sketches.

Ann,
I also like to relax and draw or paint while I'm watching- or rather-listening to something on the television. It helps me to unwind after a day at work. I have always used General's Woodless Graphite Pencils, but you've peaked my interest and I will give Staedtler Mechanical Pencils a try!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful sketches!!!

When I've compared the graphite pencils with the mechanical, it really is the mechanical one that wins. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks Bel, glad you like the sketches, even though they were just doodlings. If you get to buy a mechanical pencil you'll find them useful as there is no need to take a sharpener with you everywhere plus they have an eraser in the top...win win.

Thanks Jane - I think I may add some watercolours here and there:)
