Contour drawings

I have had fun lately doing some contour drawings and thought I would share some of them with you today -
the idea was to try and keep the pen on the paper as much as possible, as you will see it didn't always work, but I still had fun doing them.  I just used clear water over the ink to create the shading....

- our William -

and finally a rose
on which I added a blush of pink

Have a good Weekend everyone

The second dog from the bottom is a very expressive use of line. It has such life.

Thanks Julie-Anne, I have to admit I wasn't sure about that one, as I thought the lines were 'too wiggly' - funny thing is Pat liked that one as well as yourself....guess that's art for you.lol.

Lovely contours! (I like the William ones best, but then I’m partial!)

These are fantastic Ann. I love water soluble pens, they have a unique look.

Thanks Joan and Nora - I really enjoy drawing with these pens and adding the clear water, it's just a little unpredictable which I think makes for a nice surprise.
