I have had fun lately doing some contour drawings and thought I would share some of them with you today -
the idea was to try and keep the pen on the paper as much as possible, as you will see it didn't always work, but I still had fun doing them. I just used clear water over the ink to create the shading....
- our William -
and finally a rose
on which I added a blush of pink
Have a good Weekend everyone

Beautiful work! Happy weekend!
Lovely loose pieces, Ann .
I'm in love with the sitting dog one :) xx
These are quite lovely and I'll bet they were fun as well,
xoxo
You are so good at this, Ann! A few lines, a few brushstrokes and hey presto.... I love them!
Pawsome Ann. Happy Friday to you and yours.
Best wishes Molly
I love doing contour drawing, these are very good
Thanks so much Robert, Pat, Vicki, Judy, Molly and Karen - glad you enjoyed these.
The second dog from the bottom is a very expressive use of line. It has such life.
Thanks Julie-Anne, I have to admit I wasn't sure about that one, as I thought the lines were 'too wiggly' - funny thing is Pat liked that one as well as yourself....guess that's art for you.lol.
Lovely contours! (I like the William ones best, but then I’m partial!)
I like the washy freshness of your sketches. Nice!!
He's thought that for a while Robin, lol.
These are fantastic Ann. I love water soluble pens, they have a unique look.
Thanks Joan and Nora - I really enjoy drawing with these pens and adding the clear water, it's just a little unpredictable which I think makes for a nice surprise.
