Not only did we get to meet old friends plus see donkeys and mules the other day, but we also got to enjoy the gorgeous views in Devon near the edge of Dartmoor. Although the weather was overcast, it didn't spoil our day.

Overcast or not, looks like you could still see for miles. And the sweet, little fella with the garland, what is his red ribbon for?
Hi Y'all!
They make such great pets and great riding "horses" too. Much safer than a horse once properly trained.
Y'all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Great photos, Ann! Love the one with your daughter!
He had been to the church, not in the church, but was waiting outside. When folks had finished the service, he greeted them, and they were thrilled to see him.
Yes, they are amazing animals and so intelligent :-)
Thanks Judy, thought someone would recognise her ;)
I thought you would like this video Ann

Beautiful photos! What a wonderful day. I see your daughter in the last photo! :) And I see how much she loves these animals.
Yes, she's devoted to them.

Oh wow Christine, I've just got back to my computer and watched this clip. Amazing how these three horses remembered one another - Thanks so much for sharing it. I'm going to send the link to our daughter who will love to see this too.....ann :-)
you're welcome!
Lookin' good Lil! :D
Such beautiful photos! Loved seeing the scenery but also the donkeys. I once had the opportunity to take photos of the donkeys on a ranch right off the freeway. Poor donkeys near all that noise from cars and exhaust smells - but they didn't seem to mind.
:-)
Thanks Sandy. Did you paint any of the donkeys you photographed?
I remember your previous posts about the Devon donkey sanctuary and I noted on my calendar the open days of the Donkey sanctuary near here. They don't open to the public until later in May, so I'm hoping to take a trip out there with the gradchildren one day this summer.
That will make a good day out with the grands, they'll love it. Donkey's are gentle creatures and loves attention. When you go there, do take pics of the donks, I'd love to see them.
Looks like a fun place. Thanks for sharing it with us.
....it was very good Joan----glad I shared it here :-)
