Dartmoor

Our recent trip to Dartmoor - "again" you say, well yes,
it's one of those places well worth a visit.

We stayed, again, at the Moorland Hotel at Wotter

and from our room had a great view
looking across to The Hoe in Plymouth

The hotel is on the moor (as the name suggests)
so walking was a must here to really enjoy the surroundings...

and some of us wanted to explore to the point of
climbing...

...and seeing a Notice in the distance...

...which soon got explained - didn't matter, we just went another way,
there was plenty of moor to explore...

When you have Livestock you have deadstock,
and this was evidence of one loss on the moor -
such is nature I'm afraid...

I'm thinking this was a sheep scull

Pony in a panic...
this little chap did find his friends...

Whilst on the visit
we went into Plymouth
and out onto the Hoe

the Britanny Ferries vessel coming back into port

You certainly need your walking boots there. Love that William always finds a place to pose even on all that moorland :)
