On a recently trip to the midlands I didn't have a lot of time for drawing (although I took photos to make up for it). That said, I can never go too long without doing something in the way of art, be it doodles or quick sketches and here's three I did during our trip -
Graham didn't know I was sketching him!
Okay - a lamp isn't that interesting, but it gave me the chance to paint!
....and when I had a graphite pencil in my hand, I just did this one
off the top of my head, experimenting with an eraser which
I used to take out the sunlight

My favourite is the sketch of Graham. Great job!
Thanks Marie, I don't consider myself a portrait artist, but I like adding people middle distance in artwork. This was a change for me.
Fun isn't it? I'm trying to do a little bit of art every day, even if it's only looking at what I did the previous day and deciding how to make it better. That's still art, isn't it? And doing lots of excersises out of "Art Before Breakfast". I think you did sketching school which is organised by Danny Gregory.
I love how you see a drawing in everything around you - It truly shows your talent!
Sketching...it's medicinal! Lovely sketch of Graham! ♥♥♥
I like the lamp, it is interesting with it's vibrant colours and shape, it looks like it's lit too.
That's it, keep doing little bits and pieces of art every day. Even if it is only 10 minutes, really does make a difference. Training the brain with hand/eye co-ordination. Sketchbook school with Danny Gregory is very inspiring. Although I only did a couple of classes, I still follow along on Facebook. It helps seeing what other people draw and makes me want to do more π
Aww thanks Kim. ☺️
It is, I escape into my own little world whilst I'm drawing and painting...la de la de laaaa, (haven't spotted the men with white coats yet though) π
Thanks Eileen, it was a nice shape to draw and paint π
They are probably on their way.......
Without a doubt π
Nice, Ann! Keep drawing of people. Soon you'll get how to do it. Cheers, Sadami
I'll keep drawing Sadami, eventually I will get there with people sketching.
