Helston Museum

We discovered one of the best Museum's I have ever been to on our recent travels in Cornwall.  We stopped in the small town of Helston and happened, by pure chance, upon the Museum.  From the outside, it looked an ordinary place,

not expecting much of the inside bar a few relics exhibited, but oh boy was I wrong.  Never have I been more astonished with the finds within those front doors.  The building went on and on, and upward too.  Here, I've taken some twenty or so photos for you, so sit back and enjoy.  ...and if, by chance you happen upon Helston, then please do visit this Museum, you will be equally impressed and amazed....

Nearby Poldhu takes it's place in history as the site of aerials for
the telegraph.  The first message being sent from here across the seas to
the name synonymous with messages...

Impressive indeed.

St. John's, Newfoundland is the western link to Marconi.

Oh WOW! I absolutely love places like this. I love to step back in time and see all these things from the recent past. I spotted some Izal toilet roll in the shop heehee :)

Yes, some of the information said about St. John's. Amazing how that clever and basic technology back then, has transformed communications :)

I was quite taken aback with this place. I walked in and there were the usual museum fossils, stones etc...then Wow! it was truly amazing. They cleverly had Sections which contained the exhibits and that made it all the more interesting.
