Now, I probably did try a difficult subject to begin with,

but strangely enough,

I'm quite pleased with the outcome.

Travel sketches

We have recently been on a short trip down to Cornwall.

Great opportunity for sketching

~ and challenging with the weather too at times.

It can prove very difficult holding a sketchbook when the weather decides to change ~

but nonetheless, I got these completed in my moleskine sketchbook

You can retrieve/find your Photo-images from your Blog, all stored.  They used to be in:

My Picasa  - 

however 

Google updated that and you can now find them in 

Google Album Archive  

Just put that into Google search 

OR 

put into the address/toolbar  this:

https://get.google.com/albumarchive

Sign in as you would normally to your blog.

Doodlewash challenge

I've started the new year with a challenge - DOODLEWASH CHALLENGE to be precise on the WorldWatercolorGroup site.   Each month a new Theme is created with Prompts.

For January it's "Happy Things" and so far here are my drawings, (not in any specific order but I have added the Prompts)

So far so good. Wonder if I can make it through a whole month!

It's been a little stormy in Devon recently....

....the other evening was a Very High Tide

and with the storm, brought with it

the WAVES

managed to capture some in action

Out at Christmas time...

Sometimes you just have to put on your boots, a warm coat, hat and gloves and GET OUT THERE!

For us it was a festive time walk at

HUNTERS INN AND A WALK DOWN TO HEDDON'S MOUTH

This time of year, you get to see more as the greenery of summer has gone. I think you 'notice' things,

like lichen 

...and isn't there something about a river flowing

with Moss on the wall...it was gorgeous

I couldn't resist altering the above photo to black and white except for the orange dog...

We took the pathway to the left, the other one winds its way up and up and up...phew! ....another day for that walk...

Back at Hunter's Inn, with its peacocks, who are rarely on the ground, they seem to love an elevated view.
