No matter the medium....

...there is something enjoyable about putting the first strokes of paint onto canvas and watching the scene appear.

Oh Ann, that is really beautiful.

Thanks Eileen....this one is a bit bigger than my usual, although not particularly big at 24" x 16". Has made me see that bigger paintings are easier to add detail to (as if I didn't already know). Think there will be some BIG PAINTINGS coming along in the studio during 2021.

This is lovely! I am still inspiration-free.... haven't painted anything for ages. I keep telling myself to get on with it! However I have been playing with gelli-prints and lino-prints. And I gave myself a christmas pressie of more lino sheets and more ink, so will be able to do more of that.

Shammickite.... Your thing at the moment is obviously lino cuts and gelli prints...if you enjoy them, then go with it, this is all about ‘Enjoying the Creative’ process after all. I tend to go through Phases, from watercolours, acrylics, sketching and now back into oils. ....And, strangely enough sometimes all these mediums cross over each other. No good fighting it, just roll with it......ann x

Thanks Debbie....here’s to 2021, and moving forward 🙂
