I was lucky at Christmas and got two new pens. The Lumos Pro and a Sailor Fude.
The Lumos is from a Dorset firm, www.tomsstudio.com - the pen has interchangeable nibs and is filled with ink using capillary action. The reservoir can be washed out with water and refilled using another ink, very handy.
The Sailor Fude is one I’ve used over the years and needed a new one. The design has improved too, with a longer barrel, that allows for a spare cartridge to be stored, what a great idea. With its unusual nib, it makes very useful mark making and like the Lumos is good for sketching, which is exactly what I’ve been doing.
So far I’ve done a couple of sketches and will get round to more next week.

You hit the Christmas jackpot! Lucky you! Enjoy!
So the pen fills and empties like an old fashioned fountain pen, like we used at school?
It definitely feels like that Robin … it was a happy dance here, lol.
Yes, basically it does. However, the filling of the pen is different. Dip the reservoir into the ink and watch it fill up, without doing anything yourself..,the capillary action, and see the ink appear in the nib. My next post, I will take some photos of mine, to show what it is like.
Yay! You actually got to comment on my marmalade hehe, I had it for breakfast today, that's the best marmalade ever!!!!
Having just browsed through earlier posts on your blog, I admire your talent. I am sure these new pens were much appreciated and will be put to good use.
Makes my mouth water at the very thought of tasty marmalade :)
Many thanks David :)
