and apart from the occasional piece of seaweed we sometimes find these
cuttlefish
and sometimes come across these
umm.....I wonder what this is with?
ah...I think this is the culprit
but by the time I took this photo the horses who had left them were back in their field!
At the end of our walk we passed the Beach Huts which are now in place ready for the holiday season. Each summer they are put back on the sand making a splash of colour, each numbered and each with a girls name
they make an additional design on the sand
The colours are green, red, blue and yellow randomly repeated

Ah, nature. Beautiful, sometimes brutal but always interesting. (I’m having beach envy!)
That was so interesting, with the beautiful ocean and beach patterns. Even those little houses are intriguing.
Dear Ann,
So beautiful photos and your lovely sense of humour are great! Ah, I do love walking on a beach(*we're in winter~~!). Thank you for sharing. ʚ(ˆ◡ˆ)ɞ·.•*•♫°•♫ʚ(ˆ◡ˆ)ɞ

Hi Robin, Teri and Sadami thanks for your comments they are SO appreciated. Sadami: I forget it is winter with you brrrrrr! You will be wishing for summer and we will be wishing summer continues:)
Loving that urchin on the sand ;-D
Aren't those bathing huts charming?
Hi Kath, Thanks for dropping by - yes that urchin can be hard work sometimes! cheers, ann.
Love the multi colored bath houses, so how did they name them do you know? Random girls names or were they originally named after someone. I am sure the names make it easier to remember which one you are assigned to. The cuttlefish bone was interesting, don't think we get them on our beaches.
Hi Kathy, thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I don't know the history of the names for the beach huts, I guess they were random names, but like you say they help people remember their hut and add a personal touch. I do know that they are hired out to include a table, 4 chairs and a windbreak. ....ann:)
