Yes, Blob!
- You know when kids see a face /object/creature in the clouds.
( I still do that now actually)....
well
anyways,
I was sketching the other day and a 'blob' of paint dropped onto my paper....
I left it, thinking I'll sort that out later....
well, later came and when I looked at it I reasoned Why Waste It,
(i did turn it round & added a bit of dark where I knew I was going with it)
then added some pen work and guess who I got -
Just goes to show -
Try to make use of all your sketches
and mishaps, there could be a painting in there somewhere!
I am today Linking to
(many Thanks to Eva & Kristin)

great result. Happy PPF, Annette x
Thanks Netty :)
that is perfect blobness... funny how even the blog fell the right way for you to find William... very cool...xx
I turned it around Tracey...ooops! forgot to say that bit.
I'm a great user of blobs too. Nice job!
Very nice blob sketching. He was on your mind! x
You are so imaginative Ann. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
Cool! Wish my blobs turned into something instead of a blob
Love how your blob took on a life and personality! Happy PPF!
....They are fun aren't they :)
...he was Kyla. He wouldn't have it any other way lol.
Oh that face, gotta love it! :) Happy PPF!
Wonderful painting ~ Love him ~ very creative use of 'blog' ~
(A Creative Harbor aka ArtMuse Dog and Carol ^_^)
LOL :)
...He just has that effect on people :)
William is just the perfect dog in more ways then one! Great save. BTW what kind of dog IS William. He reminds me of a dog my Mom had when she was 16.
Hi Cris, William seems to have people wrapped around his four paws! lol. He's a Lurcher which is a mix of greyhound and anything else. So long as they have greyhound plus something else in them they are a Lurcher.
William is a mix of Deerhound, Greyhound, Bedlington, Collie and Huntaway!...we know he has all this in him as our daughter bought him back in 2007 for us as a Christmas present! and the people she got him from knew all his history.
There are so many ways to begin a painting. Sometimes the most interesting ones begin as blobs, I think! The looseness and freedom is there from the beginning.
I agree with you there Debbie, it takes the pressure off :)
Pups my fave, well, birds too. You did spectacular with this. He's definitely adoptable :) Blessings, Janet PPF
GREAT blob... and a fun idea for when there is no inspiration ! Happy PPF !
Thanks Janet...William would be anyone's at the drop of a hat! lol
Thanks, yes doing something like this does help:)
I love Blob. I see things in the clouds too still. Just says we actually use our imagination perhaps.
Now blobs is something I'm good at. I can't ever turn them into anything useful though. You did really well with this one ... love it!!
Thanks Laura, I'm glad someone else admits to seeing things in clouds :)
Thank you John, it was only when it had dried that I thought I could use it, but nearly got lobbed into the bin! :)
What a work of serendipity!
Wonderful, Ann!

What a wonderfully creative piece that came out of your "mishap". Love it!!
Now...why does that not surprise me?!? I'm looking forward to part 2 or Williams sketchbook! (Or did I miss it)?!? Gonna go look now.

Ahhh, Thanks Judy :)
Fabulous blob. I use my blobs, but not like this - fun ! Happy belated PPF
Thanks so much...it was fun :)
Yay! Wonderful William. :) Paint blobs are the greatest. Kind of like a blank page in a journal..
...and I love blank pages in journals, especially brand new journals :)
Blobs can turn into the best sketches! This is great.
Happy New Year Ann and what a lovely way to start the year.
...well, it was fun to have a go at Carla :)
Happy New Year to you too Judith. Hope all is well in your part of the world :)
