It is pretty isn't it. Apparently it has medicinal benefits, but I rather like to just see it when we go out for walks. I think I have heard of Jupiter's Beard before, but don't think its called that here.
Valerian! I see you already gave the answer.... but I always liked this flower, had lots of it growing where I lived in CM. Have never seen any round here, maybe it's a plant that likes to be near the sea. We have a very pretty pinky purple wild flower here called Dame's Rocket, I will have to take a pic and post it.
Yes, it's definitely prolific here. Looks so nice though with the various shades all together. I've looked up Dames Rocket - how lovely to have that growing your way. Wikipedia says it is one of the mustard family, I would never have guessed that. Do get pix of the plants near you and post, it'll be great to see them.
Very few people here know the names of wild flowers. Or that they have names at all. They all come under the heading of "weeds". Anything yellow is called a buttercup. Anything blue is called a bluebell. Maybe I am associating with the wrong people!!!!

Very pretty. What kind of flowers?
Just beautiful Ann!
Hi CJ, the flower is called Valerian. It's actually a herb and grows all around here in the hedgerows.
Thanks Christine :-)
I love Valerian but we don't get much round here.
It is lovely. I like that it grows in various shades from white through to very dark pink.
Very Pretty. We call it Jupiter's beard. I have a deep pink. It seems not to care that it gets cold in winter. :)

A gorgeous view with those flowers in the foreground! I take some valerian drops sometimes when I am nervous (dentist....), it really helps!
